If you are new to graphic design or you just finished your degree and you don’t have any experience except what you learned in school but require some guidance on what’s next, you’ve come to the right place. There are websites that you can visit and get information from easily; they are called blogs.
Because there are a lot of blog sites and so many bloggers, don’t get lost and confused about it. Here are a few of the best blogs you can read up on and follow that have some of the best information and content.
Inkbot Design’s Blog – https://inkbotdesign.com/blog – They focus on articles that help young designers. You can find a lot of helpful information here that will guide you in the right direction. This is one of my favourite blogs.
Creative Bloq – http://www.creativebloq.com/ – Creative Bloq delivers a daily mix of advice and inspiration for digital and traditional artists, web designers, graphic designers, 3D and VFX artists, illustrators, and more. Make sure to bookmark this one or you can Sign up for their free email newsletter, delivering the best art and design tips and inspiration to your inbox every week!
AisleOne – http://www.aisleone.net/ – This blog is an inspirational resource that focuses on design, typography, minimalism, and modernism. I don’t visit this blog a lot, but other designers talk about it, so give it a visit and you can decide.
99Designs Blog – http://99designs.co.uk/designer-blog/ – Don’t panic; this blog is one of the few that I can personally vouch for. The 99Designs blog has plenty of engaging articles that you can read about.
David Airey’s Blog – http://www.davidairey.com/ – David regularly publishes great articles on branding and his posts provide incredible advice for other designers based on his experience. He is also an author of two great books that I can proudly say I own.
He has another blog called Logo Design Love – http://www.logodesignlove.com/
The Design Blog – http://thedsgnblog.com/ – The Design Blog provides and brings high-quality inspiration from all over the world and their focus is on young designers and students.
I Love Typography – http://ilovetypography.com/ – As the name of the blog suggests, this focuses on fonts, typefaces and all other things typographies!
Justcreative’s Blog – http://justcreative.com/ – Jacob’s posts provide an excellent resource for young designers who are looking to get into the business of design. I gained a lot of knowledge by reading his posts.
99U – http://99u.com/ – From Behance, 99U provides interesting articles.
And the list goes on for blogs that you can visit, but as I said earlier, you have to search and read what you like and what you find helpful which will help you decide which blogs to follow.
